Delicious and healthy homemade dog biscuits made using sourdough discard, perfect for keeping your furry friends happy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup chicken or beef broth
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the whole wheat flour, sourdough discard, peanut butter, broth, egg, and honey until a dough forms.
  3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Let the biscuits cool completely before serving them to your dog.

Notes

  • Store the biscuits in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
  • You can substitute the peanut butter with pumpkin puree for a different flavor.
  • Make sure the peanut butter does not contain xylitol, which is toxic to dogs.
